Paint Over Rust Without Priming
(175 words, US)
(MS) - Painting over rust is a hassle that many do-it-yourselfers know well. You have to purchase metal primer and prepare the surface, and then you can paint. Now the job's getting a little easier. Say goodbye to metal primer when painting over rust. Hammerite RustCap can be painted directly over firm, rusty surfaces such as iron and steel, saving time and money. It provides a deep, rich, decorative finish resistant to corrosion and the effects of moisture and severe weather. As the rust-encapsulating coating dries, heat-hardened glass flakes interlock with special resins to form a surface of protective resin and glass. Since moisture and dirt can't penetrate this coating, rust can't form. Hammerite dries to the touch in 30 to 45 minutes. It is available in a range of traditional hammered finish colors and smooth finish tones. Gallons, quarts and aerosol containers are available. A high-heat black coating is also offered in aerosol form. For more information about the Hammerite RustCap products, call (866) 774-6371 or visit www.rustcap.com. |
